BER Recognition Ceremony

Bidwill Public School COLA

On Tuesday 5th June 2012 Bidwill Public School took part in the Building the Education Revolution.  The purpose of the ceremony was to celebrate and acknowledge the significant injection of funds into Bidwill Public School by the National Government.  These funds were used to build a COLA, refurbish classrooms and install interactive whiteboards in all classes.

The ceremony was attended by the local member Mr Ed Husic as well as a group of invited guests.  During the ceremony students showcased their musical talents with a spectacular Bidwill Beats drumming performance and a singing item courtesy of 6F.  Mr Husic addressed the school and expressed a sense of pride that Bidwill Public School, a school in his electorate, had been able to use the government's stimulus money so effectively to benefit students and enhance learning.  After the ceremony invited guests were given a grand tour of the school by the Principal, Ms Hilda Mavromati.  On completion of the tour an impressive morning tea allowed student leaders, teachers, parents and guests to mingle, share stories and delight in the wonderful changes that have been made to the school.

The day was a resounding success and a plaque on the wall is a constant reminder to future generations of the generous contribution the current government has made to our student' future.
