Our principal and staff

Our school team is committed to every student’s learning, wellbeing and sense of belonging. We work together to create a supportive and inclusive school where every child is set up for success.

Welcome from our principal

At Bidwill Public School, we are committed to supporting the personalised learning of every student to ensure their success. High expectations for all are embedded in everything we do. We believe in working closely with our students and their families to create an inclusive, welcoming, and supportive learning environment. Our outstanding teachers foster a culture of continuous improvement.

As a Connected Communities Strategy school, the key deliverables of this strategy are embedded in our School Excellence Plan. This ensures our school is designed to meet the unique needs of our students and community. A major focus is on improving educational outcomes for Aboriginal children and young people, and on establishing strong connections with community members and service providers to support the educational, health, and wellbeing needs of our students.

Our key focus areas include delivering high-quality explicit instruction in Curriculum; personalised learning for all students through inclusive Learning and Support practices; providing a safe and supportive learning environment through school-wide wellbeing programs; and ensuring cultural visibility through Aboriginal Education. These priorities drive everything we do.

We offer Inclusive Education Support classes and design a wide range of additional learning programs to meet the diverse needs of our students. We are proud to host Bidwill Preschool on-site — the largest Department of Education preschool in the area, catering for up to 120 children across a five-day fortnight program.

Bidwill Public School shares a site with Chifley College Bidwill Campus, and we maintain strong partnerships with local organisations to support the holistic needs of our students. Our school employs several specialist practitioners who work with students through a therapeutic lens and support staff in meeting the diverse needs of all learners.

We deeply value our partnerships with families and are committed to working alongside them to best meet the needs of our students and community.”
